Project Details
The design concept was large acoustical ceiling clouds in the shape of a “kite.” They also needed to be backlit for extra effect. The main challenge was that the desired shape was multi-dimensional, instead of flat, and varying from 15′-18′ in size. We were tasked with how to build them so that they hold their shape while suspended from the ceiling, integrate with lighting, and achieve acoustical absorption. Good thing we love a challenge! They turned out AWESOME!
Materials Used:
- Custom frame: tubular aluminum, welded together with acoustical core
- Clipso fabric and track
- LED lights
- Aircraft cables
